“Made for Après” – A Spring Bat Mitzvah with a Winter Twist at Jacx & Co
Want to go skiing? Then you’re Made for Après! That was the theme of this glamorous, ski-inspired Bar Mitzvah that brought winter to spring in the most creative way. Debbie Hart took on the challenge of transforming Jacx & Co’s industrial setting—with its warm wood finishes—into a chic, cozy winter lodge. Embracing an alpine aesthetic, she layered in plush white bouclé furniture, rustic tables, and tons of branded pillows to set the tone. At the entrance, rustic ski-themed signage greeted guests, flanked by towering pine trees and heaps of faux snow. White lanterns lined the staircase, while pillar candles glowed throughout the space, creating the ambiance of a snowy mountain evening. A large video wall in front of the custom-branded dance floor played high-energy ski clips and animated logos, elevating the vibe. When it came to food, guests had plenty to choose from. A global selection of food stations allowed everyone to sample what they loved—sushi, Mexican, burgers, Greek, Italian, and Thai—at their own pace. Beyond the great music, there were extra games for the kids, nonstop swag giveaways, and an immersive photo booth where guests posed in a snowy white backdrop featuring the guest of honor’s name written in snow. And of course, nothing says winter like a warm waffle and a delicious hot chocolate to end the night.
